This photo is probably the most abstract I've gone in the Flower Essences™ series. The abstraction does however capture quite a parallel ethos between a field of Silky Lupine blowing in the wind, and a patch of sea weed waving in the water.

Initially, I was lying on the ground slightly angry because the wind kicked up. Even the lightest wind makes stalks of flowers like these wave around. So in frustration I fired off a long series of shots to see if I could capture the moment of underwater movement I was seeing. It was an effort to calm myself in hopes the wind would soon die down. What resulted is a really fun shot of undulating purples, greens, and browns, against and azure sea sky, which I think makes you look twice to see if it really is Under the Sea.

You might feel trampled on the ground collapsing into your bedroom. Weighed by exhaustion fighting battles at the office. Or trapped by lesser moments in your child’s room. Let this piece both remind you of a sense of fun / whimsy Under the Sea, while it hints at the of the power of perspective in Going with the Flow.
