The Teddy Bear traces it origin back to a fateful hunting trip of then president Theodore Roosevelt, and a toy maker who saw opportunity. Fast forward over a century, and I suspect any child with a Teddy Bear would try to hug, snuggle or play with a real bear, if given the opportunity. The true danger of a bear has been lost in translation of the alternate perspective the toy presents.
