Light inspired me from a very young age. When I first noticed light change color through partially open blinds as the sun rose and set, I was hooked. I spent almost a decade as a theatrical lighting designer, which still informs my work today.

I originally thought I'd be a landscape photographer, because I love spending time in the wilderness hiking and backpacking. The more time I spent with my camera though, the more I was drawn to the moments, scenes, and stories that most people missed.
