I chose this particular flower both because of the interesting shape of the partially opened lower petals, and its face on positioning to a bright, clouded, afternoon sky. The pseudo triangular shape emerges, nudged higher by the surrounding thin bunches of grass, while the center burns sun hot with focal detail, and its rays streaking out in blazed glory. Finally, the dark background forest completes the composition giving the flower a space to rise into.
