Sometimes a shot within the Flower Essences series illustrates a singular sense, or demonstrates a sort of linear journey. This iteration though, integrates both these elements. Then attempts to ask a deeper question based on the preconceptions wrapped up in them.

This complexity is what drew me to this scene in the first place. Roses are synonymous with love. And the velvety pinks and reds of this Wild Rose affirm a love deeply forged. In pushing the composition close into the interior, the center or heart rose becomes the focal point. As does the action of one of its leaves lodged there. By pulling the focus just beyond the edge of this leaf, a feeling of fading motion is added, and it looks like the leaf has Pierced the heart of the Wild Rose.

The colors of this fine art photo want the regal placement of a formal dining room, or opulent boudoir / bedroom. Or add it to any other space that needs a touch of richness, while being a reminder of your heart still Pierced by a new, current, or sadly lost love. Ultimately the narrative remains unanswered, save in The Eye of the Beholder.
