Mountain Harebells are a very prolific flower in the foothills, and easy to find almost all summer long. They're considerable bigger than Blue Bells, and have a surprisingly large flower perched on a thin stem. So you may think the most obvious Flower Essence would give us a feeling of those bells ringing. Maybe in a future photo. Because the way the afternoon sun hit this pair of Harebells. They felt more like lights to me than bells.

I composed the shot to almost look down on the flowers instead of from the side seeing them hang. The six petal bell shape from this angle feels almost like an old fashion lap shade. Putting the image's focus just off frame on the stem of the lower flower accentuates this further. By smoothing both flowers to shine like deep violet glass in the low slung afternoon sun. This theme carries through to their bases, having a slightly more bluish luminescence similar to a lamp at the bulb. Together, the pair throws light into an otherwise inky dark green background above which they perch.

The sumptuous colors of this fine art photo are at home in any formal setting. Or, hang it in your bedroom, study or office. In all placements, this Illuminated photo of the humble Harebell will bring The Opulence to Light into your space.
