This Bee Moment is less about the bee in this photo doing something in particular, and more about it sharing the same flower with another insect. Seldom do I see two bees on the same flower much less a bee and another insect. And neither seems to pay any mind to the other.

Hiking in central Wyoming I discovered this Honey Bee perched on some Yarrow with a Red-Brown Longhorn Beetle. I love how the sun really highlights the bee, the beetle and the flower. However, because of the encroaching shadow you can see in the upper left corner, the background appears totally black. It really pushes the scene between the pair to the foreground. When I processed the image I blurred the beetle’s face slightly so that the focus would be less on its details, and more on the Rare Paring presented in the photo.
