Climber Mid
The Miner's Candle wild flower is a pretty unusual flower to come across in the mountains. Add some active bees to it, and you’ve created an undeniable Bee Moment™. Give a particular bee a bit of attitude, and well you get the picture.
Near the end of the day on a long hike I came across a collection of all of the above in a slightly open meadow. This particular Honey Bee was making its way slowly up the Miner’s Candle stalk, while of course stopping along the way to gather some nectar. I caught it on one of these brief breaks about Mid-way up. I love how the background looks almost painted in varying hues of forest green with the spines of the Miner’s Candle jutting out sparkling in all directions. The background’s muted tones also really make the bee’s orange, tan and black jump out of the photo. And the bee itself didn’t miss its moment. It appeared to Stare over, when I clicked the shutter.
Fill some empty floor to ceiling space in your kitchen, or pair it as a diptych with another favorite portrait Bee Moment™ elsewhere in your home. In either scenario the piece will add life to the space. With our Honey Bee Climber Mid-way up its flower, engaging you in a Stare Down.
