Bursting

Bursting

I don’t know if someone would say at first glance that a Sticky Geranium does not have the innate nature of Bursting forth. So the photo is not really a contrarian example within the Flower Essences series, but it does illustrate a storyline not immediately apparent in most instances of the flower. Unless you were surveying a group of them placidly sitting level with the ground, and came across this one Bursting forth from them.

I tried to accentuate this visual motif with how I photographed the flower. The focus trails upper left to lower right on the petals because the focal plane is biased slightly toward the upper right. These two are also the only petals fully in frame, which with the dark lilac veining set upon softer pinks and purples makes the flower literally explode like a firework beyond the composition through the other three petals. The stamen also bursts out of the Sticky Geranium's center with the focus just beyond its tip. Finally, the background itself naturally gradates from a deep forest to lighter green on the same diagonal.

Find a place of prominence for the print. Where its energy will lift the viewer. This Bursting wildflower is perfect for anchoring any large space in A continuous visual Concert of Coming Forth.
